Luxvelum Story

Giving Every Home a Personality of Light

Origin: Curtains, the Guardians of Memory

"When sunlight filters through the gaps in the curtains, falling on faded lace, I feel the weight of time."

In 2013, in a historic attic in Paris’s Left Bank, founder Elaine was renovating an apartment for an elderly couple when she discovered their cherished Venetian lace curtains, preserved for half a century but now worn and fragile. The elderly woman gently stroked the fabric and whispered, "It has witnessed our entire lives, yet now it can no longer even hold a ray of light."

In that moment, Elaine understood: curtains should not be cold industrial products but vessels that carry the poetry of life.

Thus, LuxVelum was born—inspired by the Latin words for "light" (Lux) and "veil" (Velum), turning every window into the beginning of a story.

Who We Are

Dream Weavers of Tradition and Future

Elaine’s childhood was woven between textile workshops at the foot of the Alps and the Renaissance domes of Florence.

Her mother, a Swiss textile engineer, taught her that "a millimeter’s deviation is a betrayal." Her father, an Italian architectural historian, showed her how "folds make light dance."

We believe: craftsmanship is our foundation, aesthetics is our faith.

In our owned factories in Suzhou and Milan, German precision machinery works alongside Italian hand embroidery. Every meter of fabric undergoes 27 quality checks—all to ensure the smoothness of silk coexists with the breathable texture of linen.

"Modern homes don’t need just a piece of light-blocking fabric, but a medium for light and shadow that carries stories."

—This dual commitment to function and aesthetics defines LuxVelum’s DNA.

Values

Luxury Is Treating the World Gently

For the Earth:
The photovoltaic glass on our factory roofs turns sunlight into our first "fabric." For every curtain sold, we donate 1 square meter to wetland restoration projects.

For People:
Klara, an 82-year-old Czech artisan, recreates 19th-century lace patterns by hand. She says, "Machines weave cloth—I weave heartbeats."

Your old curtains can be exchanged for art exhibition tickets—we believe beauty should circulate, not be discarded.

Quality: A Perfectionist’s Gentleness

Millimeter-Level Obsession
We use military-grade laser scanning to measure your windows—even a 0.8mm tilt deserves three days of hand-calibration, because light and shadow deserve no compromise.

*30-Year Color Promise*
If sunlight fades your curtain’s color, we’ll transform it into an art installation and replace it for free—beauty should outlive time.

We Don’t Make Curtains—We Direct Light

Here, every stitch resists assembly-line monotony; every fold is a private conversation with you.

"True luxury is hiding technology behind poetry."
—Elaine, Founder of LuxVelum
